- Bandit Moon by Sid Fleishman – What a fun, fun book!
- Brambly Hedge by Jill Barklem – I hate the mice in my kitchen, but love the ones in this delightful book series. Her illustrations are utterly charming.
- Junie B. Jones by Barbara Park – Tell it like it is kid.
- 7 Sister Mysteries by Ellen Miles – I only have five sisters but we had adventures like these!
- Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. – There’s enough room at the top of my coconut tree for this little gem.
